The Three Most Important Departments in Your Business
If you are thinking about starting a business, then you must know that you have a challenge ahead. By now, you must have spent some time looking at what parts of a business you need to pay special attention to, and you probably have an idea of what you need to set up a successful business.
While you may know all of this, what may not be clear is what the most important departments of your business are going to be. It seems that with so much information available today, quite often, the wrong people get the recognition, and that needs to stop.
In today’s post, we are going to be saluting three of the unsung heroes of every business, and no, we are not going to be talking about sales teams. While we understand that sales teams are important, they are usually the ones with the bonuses and commission schemes while everybody else goes unnoticed.
The IT Department
It seems that it doesn’t matter where you look nowadays, people that work in IT get a bad reputation. While TV and film may have portrayed IT guys as nerds wearing bowties and playing D&D when the office is closed, these guys are usually the driving force behind every business.
The IT department and people who work in IT Consulting will often put together everything that allows the company to function and, more often than not, will go completely ignored in a vacant corner of the office.
Today, we are here to say that IT guys, we salute you and everything you do.
Marketing
The second team to make the list are the guys and girls in marketing. Yet again, marketing is one of those departments that put in an incredible amount of work only to find that the salespeople take all of the credit for the work.
More often than not, the marketing team will provide all of the valuable leads to the sales teams, and it is thought that nearly all of the income that comes into a business is only possible thanks to the marketing team.
Luckily, in some businesses, there is now a thought that the marketing and sales teams should work more closely together so the marketing teams can get more recognition. Hopefully, more businesses will adopt this, and marketing teams will start to become more recognized.
Customer Service
The third and final team we are going to talk about is the soldiers on the front line. The customer service teams of the world do not get anywhere near the recognition they deserve, and they really do take some punishment.
Every day these proud and brave guys and gals have to face happy and more often than not, crazily angry customers and stay professional. Not only do they do this with politeness and a professional nature at all times, but they also do it every single day.
Conclusion
So, if you are starting a new business, hopefully, you will see how important these departments are, and maybe you will choose to give them a little extra thanks for everything they will do for you.
